Resources for Dog Agility

Here are the places I recommend purchasing Dog Agility Equipment from:

Max200 (USA East Coast, does ship) - my personal favorites are:

• their all-inclusive weave pole bases (more expensive, but you have the ability to train using almost every main method)
• their replacement aluminum skins and rubber for contact & the table obstacles
• their fiberglass, lightweight jumps

Mark's (USA East Coast) - I have not had the opportunity to order from them and will share that I was 'supposed' to be on a list to purchase an a-frame after a large event. Unfortunately, they did not call or follow through.

Clip & Go (ships): Very nice a-frame & dog walk equipment on wheels, perfect for indoor facilities (if you are outdoors, this will depend on your surface).

• note for outdoor use: I'm not a fan of their plastic winged jumps for outdoor use as they are so lightweight that they often need to be staked to be stable & stay up in slight winds.

Galican (ships world-wide, has regional distributors): pricey, considered premier for international competitors.

NOT on our recommendation list is Dog Sports USA located in the USA, Pacific Northwest area due to public complaints received by the BBB.

GoSports

PIVO is a way to use your phone to record and follow/track you as you're moving. Think of a spinny thing that goes on a tripod! NOTE: I've found that this does better following the HUMAN vs. following the dog. For most training, this works fine, however if you tend to work at extreme distances, depending on where the PIVO is, the dog may not be in the video frame.

I also use a GoPro and my cell phone.

Many people use their ipad as well.

Please know this is an always changing & evolving list. What I use depends on the training exercise, the dog, where I'm at, how I'm rewarding, what I want to accomplish with my reward, who is around and so much more.

Flexibility is definitely key when it comes to rewarding.
